Christmas Is Coming!

For our November class, we made 2 Christmas cards and a festive treat holder.
This card is quite simple and uses Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake colours with the holly taken from Hang Your Stocking stamp set and the rest from Merry Mistletoe.  The DSP is Be Merry.

This card was a bit more complicated and required some careful lining up of the elements of the quilted star. For this card we used one of the this years In-Colors; Lemon Lime Twist which went well with Real Red and Garden Green.  This also matched in well with the Quilted Christmas DSP.  The stamp sets used were Christmas Quilt and Star of Light.  The ribbon is called Quilted Christmas (a bit of a common theme going on here!!) And the Quilt Builder Framelit Dies were used for the cutting of the elements.
Our 3D project was to make this cute little stocking using the Trim Your Stocking thinlets and the Cable Knit embossing folder.

Octobers Class

For our Octobers class, I had been asked to create a female celebration birthday card and a card suitable for a male. And with Christmas around the corner we made a 3D Christmas card.

I gave my ladies the option of making this card as a general birthday card or as one for an 'age'.  The colours used were Whisper White, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz. The stamp sets used were Stylized Birthday and Number of Years.
For this card we used a variety of colours including Elegant Eggplant, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red, Marina Mist, Soft Sky.  The stamp sets used were Lift Me Up and Best Birds.
I found this card on Pinterest but can't remember who it was by. This used the shadow box card technique and folds flat to go in an envelope.  The colours used were Night of Navy, Crushed Curry (for the 'lights' in the houses) and Whisper White. The stamp sets used were Number of Years and Star of Light.  Dies used were Layering Ovals, Card Front Builder and Hometown Greetings.

Christmas Card Making Workshop

I held my annual Christmas Card Making Workshop at Frampton on Severn on Sunday 15th October with 10 attendees. We made 20 cards (5 designs and 4 of each) and a tealight holder. We had 3 new crafters and I think they enjoyed their bit of 'me' time.
I have posted the projects that we made for you to see.

For the cards we used Quilted Christmas DSP and everyone had 1/2 a pack of this paper as part of their Goodie Bags well as some Metallic Enamel Shapes and all the card stock required to make all the projects.  The colours used were Real Red, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler. The stamp sets we used were Christmas Quilt, Hearts Come Home and Hang Your Stocking (and matching thinlets).
The tealight holder was made using Night of Navy cardstock and Vellum stamped with Basic Black Archival ink.
I normally run this type of workshop each year in October ans start to advertise it in July so look out next if you would like to come along.
