A Touch of Autumn!

For our September Class, I chose some autumnal colours and the lovely new stamp set, Painted Harvest.
For this card we used the tri-layered stamping technique where the 3 Very Vanilla layers are placed on top of each other then the images are stamped ensuring that they go over the borders then the layers disassembled and Chocolate Chip matts are added back in between each layer.  this is the wonderful Painted Harvest stamp set which is a two-stamp image where the background of the sunflower was stamped in Crushed Curry and the detailed top layer stamped in Pumpkin Pie.  The leavers were stamped using Garden Green and cut out with the new Leaf punch.  The greeting was taken from  Flourishing Phrases.
Our second autumnal card was made using the baby-wipe technique where drops of Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry were dropped onto a baby-wipe and left to blend before using this as an ink pad to create the leaves.  This card also used a similar technique to the first where we stamped the tree trunk (stamp set Sheltering Tree  ) across two layers then removed the top Whisper White layer and stamped the leaves before re-assembling with a layer of Early Espresso in between.  The greeting was taken from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.
Our 3D project this month is a new style box I found on Pinterest called the self closing box.  It is very simple to make using the Score-board and for this we used the other leaf stamp from the Painted Harvest stamp set along with the acorn to make our own DSP.  The colours used were Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Garden Green. The greeting was taken from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set , punched out using the new Pretty Label punch and clipped to the box with some Burlap Ribbon and a Gold Library Clip.

Christmas Card Making Workshop Update

Hi
I have now finalised a date for my Christmas Card Making Workshop in October. It will now be on
Sunday 15th October
(different to the original date)
at Frampton on Severn Village Hall
10am - 2pm
Booking is required with a £10 deposit no later than
1st October
We are planning on making 20 simple Christmas cards using various stamp sets, embellishments, patterned paper and tools plus a 3D gift. The cost for this class will be £30 (slightly more than in the past but this is due to increasing costs of Stampin up products).  For this you will receive a goodie bag containing all the materials (other than scissors and adhesives) that you will need to create your projects plus more to use at home for your own projects. Light refreshments will be provided and you can bring a light lunch to consume within the crafting time.  Please bring your own scissors and adhesives although I will have some products on sale if you wish to buy from me.  There will also be a raffle.

August Class

Well I know it is already September but I somehow forgot to show you the projects we made in August! Just shows how time flies during the summer holidays.

This month we used the new In-Colors that were released with the new annual catalogue on 1st June and will continue until 31st May 2019.  The colors are called Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide.  Quite a good sets of names!

For our first card, we used the Berry Burst ribbon, cardstock, ink and sheet from the Fresh Florals DSP stack.  The stamp set used was Pretty Kitty and the main card was Smoky Slate. This card is very cute, suitable for any cat lover!

Our second card uses the Powder Pink In-color ink and sheet from the Fresh Florals DSP stack.  We used a watercolour technique to colour the sky on Shimmery White cardstock with Soft Sky ink.  To highlight the clouds we filled them in with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. The stamp set used was This Little Piggy from the new catalogue and our crafters could chose any of the 5 designs to use on their project, I have just shown two here; and greeting taken from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  The other colours used were Basic Black and Soft Sky.

Our final card looks a bit complicated but is actually quite simple to make, as long as you get your dimensions, cuts and folds in the right places! I think one of the names for this card is a stepped waterfall.  Again we used some new In-Colors, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide.  The Daisy punch is a great new Stampin Up punch again brought out in the new catalogue and has been sold out quite a few times already!  The leaves were made using Tranquil Tide cardstock and the Flourish Thinlets dies and the greeting was taken from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and cut out using another new punch, Pretty Label Punch.  The center for the daisies were made from 1/2 inch punch circles of Gold Glimmer card.  The main card is Crumb Cake and stamped with the Hardwood background stamp also in Crumb Cake.
