Just thought I would share what we created at our last workshop - we had a lovely time sharing Stampin' Up! products with some lovely ladies. I love the background stamp En Francais and it has been used lots as you can see within this card! The other stamp sets we used were Secret Garden and Curly Cute for the greeting. The main card is Whisper White, with Sahara Sand for the background, spritzed in rich razzleberry and Sahara Sand ink. The En Francais was stamped using rich razzleberry onto Certainly Celery cardstock with co-ordinating rich razzleberry card positioned behind to great effect. The Secret Garden stamp set was stamped onto sahara sand, rich razzleberry and vanilla card and built up in layers. The Bitty Butterfly punch was used to create the butterflies in whisper white and rich razzleberry to finish it off nicely! Hope you like it too!

It is always nice to give the lovely hostess a gift, as a thank you for inviting us along! Below is a little gift set which I gave our hostess Sarah. I used the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and coordinating More Amore Speciality Designer Series Paper. The main colours used are Melon Mambo, Poole Party and Island Indigo.

June's Class - Something for the men and ladies!

As Fathers Day was looming, we decided to create a card for that special man in your life along with a matching bookmark.  We used the lovely Open Sea stamp set and Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The card stock we used was Cherry cobbler, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake with Versamark, Chocolate Chip and Soft Suede inks.  Some mini brads with Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine added that extra touch to finish off the nautical theme of these projects.  We introduced our class to the diagonal scoring plate used with the Score Pal to create the bookmark. The book mark starts off as a square piece of card stock and then by scoring two diagonals and then by folding them over (securing with a triangle piece of cardstock) the triangle pocket that is created slips over the pages of the book.  The diagonal plate was used again to mark the lines to cut the layers of card stock to follow the angled profile of the bookmark.

As our ladies had quite a bit to do on their first project, we decided to keep the second project nice and simple! Using the Summer Silhouettes stamp set they made this stunning card; this card is a perfect example of what you can achieve in a short amount of time - sometimes less is more!

The main card uses Elegant Eggplant cardstock, which is one of my favourites; Whisper White is used in the background with a contrasting stamp (in Elegant Eggplant) to add a little bit of interesting detail. The flowers are stamped onto Sahara Sand card using Wild Wasabi and Elegant Eggplant inks. The greeting is from the Curly Cute stamp set. A little daubing around the edges, in Elegant Eggplant, adds a little depth to the card - voila - a simple just stunning card!
