Projects From Our Junes Class

Good Morning and another late entry although we are still in the month of June!

This months projects were suitable for many occasions.

The first one uses one of my favorite stamp sets, Dandelion Wishes which has unfortunately been retired now.  The main colours used were Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Smokey Slate and Whisper White.  The Ribbon used was 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle and 1/2" Basic black Satin  Ribbon, both unfortunately retired now but you can use any type of ribbon.  The Squares were made using the Layering Squares dies.  The centres of the dandelions were made use a dauber.  The greeting was taken from a very old set but any greeting can be used to suit your occasion and the Layering Ovals used to cut the greeting out.

This card uses lots of new products:- 2021/2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum which was run through the Meadow Moments Embossing folder, Flowers and Leaves punch for the leaves in Evening Evergreen 2021/22 In color as is the greeting which was also taken from from a retired stamp set.  The Medium Daisy punch was used for the flowers in Whisper White and the centers of the flowers are made from Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya card stock using the retired 3/8" circle punch. Finally the jar is stamped from Jar of Flowers stamp set and punched out using the Jar punch.  Both ribbons are retired but again any type can be used to suit your design.

This is a stepped card suitable for a retirement card or a general male card.  This card is an ideal design to use up odd bits of DSP and also did use a retired stamp set Beach Happy.  The main colours used were Early Espresso, Daffodil delight and Shaded Spruce.  Linen thread was used for the bow and

May's Class Projects

Good Morning. Sorry for the delay but I have not been feeling that great lately so am very behind with my blogging and downloading of the projects that we have run at classes.

Due to COVID restrictions, we had to run two classes in May due to numbers but worked out quite successfully.  All 7 attendees enjoyed getting together to craft again after a break of 14 months. It took a bit of getting used to using the products and a lot of chatting ensued as everyone caught up with their gossip!

Here are photos of the projects and a brief description of the products used.  We have recently had a new catalogue released and unfortunately a lot of the stamp sets that I have, have been removed from the catalogue so I apologize for using old products but there are plenty of new ones that can be used from the new catalogue.

(Also I've noticed that Blogger has changed since I last used it so am having a lot of fun trying to download photos and information!)

This fun card was made using the Party Puffins (A/C p 67) and is a 'spinning' card! Where as you move the card, the top puffin rotates along the slot by means of 2 'pennies'. I've taken a photo of the pennies and slot but isn't very clear. There are several ideas on Pinterest if you want to find further information on how to make this type of card.  The other products used are the 2020/22 In Color DSP Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray 2019/21 for the main card base and Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. The scallop edge was made using the retired Seasonal Layers thinlit dies

As Fathers Day was coming up, we made a choice of two male cards using the Handsomely Suited Bundle from the January/June 2021 Mini Catalogue and the Well Suited DSP.  The other main colours are Basic Grey, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver foil sheet (retired) and Everyday label punch.

Our final project was a mini notelet set made using the retired Pizza Boxes but you can make your own boxes to suit your needs.  The stamp set used has been very popular this year, Sweet Strawberry Bundle from the January/June 2021 Mini Catalogue. The other main colours used are Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green and Memento.

Happy New Year!!

Good Morning! I hope you were able to enjoy the festive season? Now a New Year and lot of new things with Stampin Up! - a new Spring/Summer catalogue and our annual Sale-a-bration event! So no excuse to spend some of your Christmas money that you may have received and make some lovely cards for Spring. I have attached the links to the catalogues.  Don't forget that for every £45 that you spend from either the new Spring/Summer catalogue or/and annual catalogue, you can chose any of the applicable items from from the Sale-a-bration catalogue! so another reason to get a cuppa and have a browse through the on-line catalogues.

Unfortunately I will be running down my involvement with Stampin Up! this year due to health reasons and have therefore not ordered any catalogues hence will not be able to give out any hard copies.

Online Extravaganza and Updated Catalgoue

 Good evening!

Sorry for the delay in adding the Autumn/Winter catalogue to my blog, life has been a bit busy lately with my health and having to deal with home-schooling due to COVID-19 issues! It will be nice to get back to some form of normality, hopefully next year!

Also I need to let you know of a 24 hour On-line Extravaganza that Stampin Up! is running starting at 11pm this evening.  This is a 10% discount sale of most items in the annual catalogue so if you were looking to treat yourself (or get some presents bought for you) for Christmas then delay no longer, have a look at the catalogue and let me know your order tomorrow! There are items that will not be part of this sale and you can find the list here

Hello!

Good Afternoon.

So sorry its been 6 months since my last post but this year has certainly been quite eventful. As you are all aware, all our lives have been turned upside down with the Coronavirus and there's no knowing when life will return to what we are used to.  In addition to this, my health has been bad since Christmas and I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the end of March.  Since then my life has revolved around hospital and doctors visits, tests and times spent in hospital.  I am getting better but still a long road ahead.  I also have my two children at home being homeschooled.

Therefore I have taken quite a step back from Stampin Up!, running classes (although COVID-19 stopped these anyway) and making cards.  So I thought it was about time I got myself back into the swing of things.  Especially as Stampin Up! have just released the new annual catalogue which you can see if you click on the icon on the side of this page (if you would like a copy for yourself then let me know and I can post one to you) and next month we will have the Autumn/Winter catalogue available, full of Christmassy things!

Talking of Christmas, I am hoping to be able to run a Christmas card workshop later in Autumn (if we are allowed to hold meetings).  Please let me know if you would be interested.

Over the next few weeks, I will try and make some new cards/projects and share them with you.
Please let me know if you would like to order from the latest catalogue too.

I hope you have been crafting and keeping busy in these uncertain times.
Bye for now. Hazelx
